Dan☆Boru: Weighing Scale SS
(I received a weighing scale as a gift, so here's a short story)
I was leisurely working in the employee break room. This room is surprisingly comfortable, so work goes smoothly here… Anyway, today I tried making a weighing scale with [Create Golem].
Right as I finished, Rokuko came in.
"Oh Kehma, were you making something? What's that?"
"Hm? This? It's a weighing scale. Public baths usually have at least one of these."
I'd already used the weight-measuring gimmick with golems at the tunnel toll booth. Then I suddenly thought, "Come to think of it, we have a hot spring but no weighing scale," and decided to make one.
I reproduced the type you'd find in a school nurse's office, with a circular meter dial on the front. Apparently weighing scales exist in this world too, but well, this one's dungeon-made.
"Step on it and the needle on this meter part spins to show your weight."
"Weight… A weighing scale is a tool that measures weight, right? Hmm."
"Knowing your weight leads to better health, after all."
"Oh, health is good! I need Kehma to live a long life, after all."
To be blunt, my lifestyle is eating and sleeping however I want. If I don't manage my weight, it'll shoot up in no time and my health will be worn away.
"By the way, the needle will go around multiple times, but I've made it capable of measuring up to one ton. Even 695 kilograms can be measured easily."
"How much is 695 kilograms?"
"Umm. How many iron golems would that be again…"
"I'm not that heavy!"
If you included the Core and the entire dungeon, it would easily exceed that, though. But I won't say that out loud. After all, this is a dungeon with that many golems in it. Or rather, she's practically a building at this point.
"But why put it in the hot spring?"
"In the changing room, you take off your clothes, so you can measure your weight more accurately."
Well, our inn has bathing clothes though. Still better than wearing armor. With that thought, I stepped onto the scale while still wearing my tracksuit… Hmm, not much different from before I came to this world?
"Oho… So this is how you measure weight."
"Want to try it, Rokuko?"
I sensed something like a wire of tension run through the air.
"… You take off your clothes first, right?"
"Eh, no, you don't have to? It won't make that much difference."
"The DP-saving form would be lighter, right?"
"Ah, yeah, I guess so. It's smaller. But if your height gets smaller, it's only natural you'd be lighter, right?"
"I'm not heavy!"
"I didn't say you were heavy though…"
What to do… Just then, Ichika came in. She seemed to have come to take a break, but—
"Ichika! Get over here for a moment!"
"Hm? What is it, Rokuko-sama?"
"This is a weighing scale."
"… Oho."
Ichika examined the scale closely. Come to think of it, Ichika is the embodiment of appetite, yet her proportions are excellent. You'd think eating curry bread every day would make you gain a lot of weight, but she's perfectly healthy.
"To prove that I'm not heavy. Ichika, get on."
"That's fine, but… I'm probably pretty heavy, y'know?"
"Really? You don't look fat though?"
"Ah, Master. That's, y'know, like the food goes to my boobs?"
As she said that, her chest jiggled softly. The cleavage visible from her employee uniform (cosplay maid outfit) was on full display. I see. So that's where the weight goes.
"Ichika, do you have a stomach in your chest too? That would actually explain it."
"Nah nah, that's not what I mean. If I had a stomach there, I wouldn't be human."
"Oh. And here I thought you'd evolved while working as a dungeon slave."
"Humans don't just up and evolve like that… Well, ever since Master bought me, I've been eatin' nothing but good stuff. So yeah, I've put on some weight."
The fact that it all concentrates in one specific area shows she's no ordinary woman.
"So, aren't you going to get on? The scale."
"N-Nah, but like, as a maiden, doin' it in front of Master is a bit…"
"Can't be helped then… Kehma! You're putting this in the hot spring changing room, right?"
"Eh, ah, yeah. That's right."
"Ichika! We'll settle this there…!"
"Eh, was I competing in something?"
Not really understanding but tilting her head all the same, Ichika was dragged off by Rokuko toward the changing room… Oh, and the scale went into [Storage].
And as for the outcome—well, I don't know, and I don't need to know.
